Housing Provision for Flood Victims in North Kazakhstan Region

The AÑSA Foundation has responded to Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's call for the business community to assist in the recovery efforts in regions affected by severe flooding. Previously, the Head of State had directed efforts to mitigate the consequences of the floods and provide aid to those affected.

The Foundation is implementing a major project for the construction and purchase of housing in the North Kazakhstan region. This project is aimed at supporting those affected by the spring floods, providing them with modern and comfortable accommodation.

For this purpose, the Foundation has allocated 15 billion tenge. Out of this amount, over 9 billion tenge are directed towards the construction of 400 new houses in the «Solnechny-2» district in Petropavlovsk. Approximately 6 billion tenge are designated for purchasing apartments.

The main goal of the project is to provide the affected families with quality and safe housing, facilitating their swift return to normal life.

Construction of Modern Homes

As part of the project, standardized homes with a total area of 80 square meters each are being constructed. The walls, made of warm sandwich panels, retain heat even in -40-degree frosts, which is crucial for the harsh climatic conditions of the region.

The new homes are being delivered with complete interior finishing. Each house will include three living rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a space for the heating system. The premises surrounding the house, measuring 1000 square meters, will feature an outbuilding, landscaping, and an area for a vegetable garden. These features will not only ensure comfortable living but also provide additional opportunities for household management and relaxation.

Implementation Timeline

According to the project specifications, all homes will be operational by the start of the heating season. The construction of the first homes is nearing completion, and soon the affected families will be able to move into their new residences.

The AÑSA Foundation is actively working to improve the quality of life for citizens affected by natural disasters. We hope that the implementation of this project will help the affected families return to normal life sooner and mitigate the consequences of the floods.
